Goal Develop, enrich, promote and deploy Khan Academy Bangla as a free online (and offline) education tool, with focus on Math and Science education for Grades 3 to 12.
Description           It offers over 6000 world-class video lessons and 100,000+ interactive exercises in math, science and other subjects, along with a teacher dashboard for monitoring student performance. With Khan Academy, students learn while having fun, and parents and teachers can easily follow their performance. We want to let the children of Bangladesh participate in this global community of 53 Million learners worldwide!
With that goal, we are working to translate Khan Academy content into Bangla, map with local curriculum, create awareness and drive adoption in schools.
Current Impacts Too early to tell. Limited data points towards improved computer literacy and math competancy - but sample is too small.
Future Plans Enrich Khan Academy Bangla with more localized, curriculum mapped and new content; develop best practices for using in classrooms; create awareness in national level, and conduct impact studies.
