Teachers' Training Input
Learning is a ceaseless process. And training is a medium for learning. The teacher’s training program of AEF includes different types of teaching methods, how to make lesson plans, how to assess, how to manage student profiles, how to cope up with the changing curriculum. There have been a total of eleven sessions of training events that have been conducted since 2016.
Nafisa Khanam, one of the instructors of the teachers training program said that it is a great honor for her to become a part of this as it is her dream to work for the betterment of the education system in Bangladesh. She added that this year the training program is focused on monitoring systems to enhance the quality and accountability of the program for which more trained teachers are required.
According to one participant, “Training means gaining knowledge from different sides. It does not matter what amount of knowledge one acquires, it always results in something better.” What the participant loved about the program was sharing her experience and knowledge with others through teamwork.
Another teacher who was also a trainee stated, “Training is a teaching process which encourages one to take new challenges to improve oneself." In his opinions,"It asks oneself to make the most out of what one has learned through the program. Training is necessary to cope up with the changing time. With the rapid growth of technology and communication, fast changing teaching process and curriculum, training programs are indeed very helpful and thoughtful for teachers.” He liked the digital content development training the most.
Along with math, science, digital content and head teachers' workshop, this training program intents to broaden its arena to primary education to construct a more enjoyable classroom experience for the students with the help of teachers.
