ANEC Virtual event - Agami Youth Night with Bangladeshi Students & Alumni of NY.

On Saturday, June 13th, 2020, Agami North East Chapter hosted Youth Night, a Facebook Live virtual event with Bangladeshi Students and Alumni of NY. Guest speakers included the Muqtadir Brothers and emcees Shamsul Shaadi and Shamma Siddika. Performing artists include Ridoy Sharma, Farjana Tahmim, Brooklyn BSA band, Joy Biswas, Sayeem Shahriar, Margia Shriti (Bangladesh Academy of Fine Arts), Ahmed Rashik, and Noshin Sharmili. The purpose of the charity event was to collect donations for Agami students in Bangladesh while enjoying a musical evening among New Yorkers, with 4400 guests and an additional 1600 post-event viewers. The heartwarming performances and appeal of our guest speakers helped us raise $3,000 in donations.

As the virus hit close to home, we have changed our lifestyles into lockdown, and it feels as if our lives have paused as we continue to be in self-isolation. Despite the disruption to our busy lives, our hearts and our minds remain connected through the ongoing crisis. The Agami family is still together and redefining education in Bangladesh one step at a time.
