Agami proudly celebrates 21st February ,International Mother Language Day, a worldwide annual observance to promote awareness of linguistic and cultural diversity and to promote multilingualism. 21st February was first announced as International Mother Language Day by UNESCO on 17th November, 1999. “UNESCO believes education, based on the first language or mother tongue, must begin from the early years as early childhood care and education is the foundation of learning.” Agami also focuses on the education of the underprivileged children of Bangladesh. The Agamites are committed to creating a nation where everyone can read, write and be successful, a nation where everyone can say “we’re privileged to be born in Bangladesh” and the word “underprivileged” is erased forever.

Agami remember those brave martyrs in every heart beat. Ekush is the symbol and spirit of a national identity. In remembrance of Ekushey February, Abu Hassan one of the co-founders of Agami recited the poems: February 1969 (ফেব্রুয়ারি ১৯৬৯) written by the renowned Bangladeshi poet Shamsur Rahman and “The Song of The Twentyfirst” (একুশের গান) written by Abdul Gaffar Chowdhury. Abu Hassan’s bold voice reincarnated the spirit of “Amor Ekushey”. The English voice over is given by Farhana Zaman Mou (Director of Marketing, Agami). The effect of their voices was mesmerising, yet very empowering.
