Amena

Her name is Amena...her story started in a village in Bangladesh with very little to look forward to. Her parents are old and can’t work and are unable to support her and her four siblings. Her older siblings work so that her younger sister, brother and Amena can go to school. She moved to Dhaka with the hope of a new beginning.

Her story turned a new leaf with the help of Shohag Swapnadhara Patshala which is supported by Agami...she has been studying at this school for nine years now and she absolutely love it! She love studying science and especially loves doing labs. She never thought that she would have an opportunity like this but her dreams have come true and she gets to do scientific inquiry all the time. Shohag Swapnadhara Patshala is a unique school because  along with academic subjects students are taught trade skills. Amena has learned how to sow and draw which allows her to acquire a hobby. She tries to teach others around her when she goes home and tutor them. One day, Amena says with a shy confidence, she wants to become a professor because she want to spread the knowledge that has been entrusted to her. She wants to help others find their new beginning just like she did.
