ASEC Leadership
This March, Agami Southeast Chapter (ASEC) held its executive meeting to redefine leadership and set goals for the new year. Over the past year, with Afsan Khan as the president, ASEC successfully hosted a concert in August 2019 as part of the fundraising drive. The concert hosted 200 people and generated almost $13,000 from sponsorships and tickets sales. ASEC received generous donations including $2,800 from auction of a bat and ball signed by Bangladesh cricketers. To add icing to the top, Fuad and friends and Anila and the technical team led by Sayem and Robiul gave a stellar performance. The wrap up of the event raised a net total of $6,200 from ASEC for Agami, in addition to donations raised by ASEC throughout the year.
To keep the momentum going, ASEC elected a new leadership team for 2020. The team has new goals and is venturing a new concept this year. Last year, ASEC activities were translated to Agami brand strengthening and this year, ASEC is focusing on driving membership across DMV region. To make it more exciting, there will be a surge of community events based on the membership drive and collections. In the hindsight, what matters to ASEC this year, is to bring the community and leaders together to understand Agami’s core values and participate in Agami’s dream for a better future.
Leading the team this year, as the president of ASEC is Iftekhar Choudhury. Afsan Khan, the expresident is now the new advisor along with Md. Mustafijur Rahman.
