ASEC Virtual Concert Results
As the viruses hit closer to our homes, we voluntarily have changed our lifestyles into lockdown, and feel as if our lives have paused as we continue to be in self-isolation. However, our hearts and our minds are still united even though our busy lives have been disrupted. Despite the ongoing crisis, Agami is still together and redefining education in Bangladesh one step at a time.
On Friday, May 22nd, 2020, Agami’s chapter, Agami SouthEast Chapter took the initiative to host a virtual concert called ASEC Musical Evening- Together we Give, Together we Live with renowned artists Anila Chowdhury, Babna Karim, Chandan Zaman Ali and Shamseesh Suhas for an in-house concert. All the artists kept us on our feet with music and their stories about music. Our emcees Tareque and Yasmin Jahir kept us engaged as we shared good times. We received a lot of nostalgic messages from Facebook users. The participants and performers appealed to their viewers to contribute and to our utmost delight, we had an overwhelming response. Our viewership reached at least 10k during the event, and post-event views increased to 13.5K. As of date, ASEC has raised US$ 6,000 from its COVID-19 fundraising and is continuing to work towards identifying how to improve the quality of education for underprivileged children in Bangladesh during the ongoing COVID-19 situation.
Agami has been proactively designing strategies that could help the underprivileged children achieve education but at the same time ensure that both safety measures and safety teaching standards are practiced even when schools have reopened or long-distance teaching may ensue.
We are grateful for all the support you continue to give us.
